The only things that I really know about Alexander the Great was that he conquered most of what is now Europe and what was the Persian empire. He was a brilliant military leader and a magnificent strategist. He used the technology of his time to his advantage and in very innovative ways. One way he won many of his battles was by having his men file up in rows and columns with large spears that they would put down and march forward and the spears would run through all the enemies he faced and if one of his men died another would take the place of that one to secure the marches stability. In the United States, I know that we have had two world wars. The first one began, because of the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand. The United States and many other nations joined together towards the end of the war and created the United Nations. They and the countries who they fought against; decided to stop the war and they signed the treaty of Versailles. The technology of the united states during this time was not that developed and they had many casualties during this war.
The second world war had more casualties than any other war that the united states had ever fought in. They started the war neutral, but they still helped and supplied the other nations who needed the weapons and food. Later on, the United States joined in on the side of the United Nations, but it came to be only because we were attacked by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor during 1941. The technology was better developed and far more advanced than that of world war I. We had defeated the Axis Powers in 1945. The Japanese still believed they could still fight us they were warned to stop or we would bomb them they did not believe us, so we did just that and they still refused to give up and again we bombed them and finally the war was completely over they had admitted defeat. This is all that I know about my topic.
